Come see the exciting Bots competition at AMTS 2011 beginning at 8 am on Thursday, October 20. The DTMA Regional Bots Program provides local students an opportunity to create custom-built, remote-controlled robots that then face off in competition. Through the process of robot building, students’ imaginations are captured as they design, build and compete with their own robotic creations. Through this hands-on effort, they also gain practical knowledge of math, science, engineering and manufacturing. These students are then more likely to pursue careers in advanced manufacturing and engineering ─ helping to ensure our industry has a highly skilled workforce for decades to come. Visit us on Facebook The Bots competition is held annually at the Advanced Manufacturing & Technology Show. The DTMA Regional Bots program is a member of the National Robotics League. This connection means participants in regional competitions have an opportunity to advance to compete at the national level. Our program also provides financial assistance for winning teams who choose to participate in the national event. Sponsorships and Technical Advisors Are NeededHere’s your chance to encourage the future of our industry. Build and connect with the engineers and stars of tomorrow. Sponsorship and technical advisor opportunities encourage technology, reward positive activities, connect your company with the influencers and help defer some of the program’s cost, as well as keep the program in the consciousness of the local industry. Additionally, the sponsorship program shows participants that they are supported not only by their technical advisor's company, but also by the industry as a whole.
